Dr Steve Tang Bsc (Hons) MCOptom Msc is the Northern Beaches’ most respected optometrist, an award-winning eyecare professional, who trained at the world’s leading eye hospitals and has 25 years’ experience in every aspect of optical treatment and care.
A winner of the UK’s prestigious Optometrist of the Year, he has managed several successful optician businesses and served as a director of a number of blue chip optical companies.
After moving to Sydney in 2014 with his wife Charlene, a family doctor, and their young son Max, he ran an optometry franchise in Stocklands, Balgowlah and was soon embraced by the local community.
Dr Steve Tang Optometrists opened in 2019 and soon gained a reputation for premium family eyecare, advanced examination techniques and unrivalled customer service.
What we do
We’re here to look after your family’s eyes and keep them in the best possible health for many years to come. Using the very latest technologies, we conduct thorough eye examinations that map your retina with high-res images and then monitor any changes over time.
Dr Tang is the Northern Beaches’ leading children’s eyecare specialist, and one of the few optometrists to prescribe advanced eyewear that actively reduces long-term myopia.
